Mrs. Drusilla Shaw joined Orthodox Zion Child Development Center in February,2024. She has over 34 years of dedicated service in the field of Early Care and Education.

She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to providing a nurturing experience for the children and staff entrusted to her oversight and care. Her experience includes the implementation of a Conscious Discipline program with full staff participation. Children at the site learned and demonstrated self-regulation as early as 3 years of age. Her work extends beyond children and staff to include parents and caregivers. She encourages and supports them by providing learning opportunities to bridge the gap between the classroom and home environment. 

Mrs. Shaw values being able to influence the next generation of early childhood educators. She has collaborated with Big Brothers Big Sisters to provide internship opportunities for youth in the community to gain experience and practical knowledge.

She believes measuring learning outcomes in the early childhood years allows for early intervention when needed and for children to reach their fullest potential.

Under her leadership the vision of Orthodox Zion Child Development Center will continue. We will grow throughout the community as we cultivate the hearts and minds of the children academically and spiritually.
